Center Director Dr. Pete Worden Gives Talk Live from Second Life

Seminal Speech from Second Life by NASA Ames Center Director!

NASA Ames Center Director Dr. Pete Worden gave his keynote speech at the International Space Development Conference May 26 live from NASA CoLab island in Second Life. Dr. Worden spoke about the importance of small satellites, collaborative science, and how virtual worlds will enable us to "all go" to space. There were at least 68 people on the NASA CoLab sim during the talk (making out attendance). Live audio was streamed from Dallas to Second Life.

What would YOU like to ask of young people that work at NASA? On July 20, 2008, members from the younger generation from four NASA Centers will discuss the future of space exploration as part of the Lunar Science Conference at NASA Ames Research Center. The panel is entitled "This is your Future-- Why the Moon?" and is open to a variety of space topics. We invite you to participate by submitting questions to the panel online, modeled after the CNN YouTube Debates. If your video is selected, it will be aired at the event and discussed by the panel.
