WHAT: The ninth Luna Philosophie will feature Rusty Schweickart, Apollo 9 Astronaut, of the Association of Space Explorers (ASE). Rusty will give a presentation about the threat of “Near Earth Objects (NEO).”
What would YOU like to ask of young people that work at NASA?
On July 20, 2008, members from the younger generation from four NASA Centers will discuss the future of space exploration as part of the Lunar Science Conference at NASA Ames Research Center. The panel is entitled "This is your Future-- Why the Moon?" and is open to a variety of space topics. We invite you to participate by submitting questions to the panel online, modeled after the CNN YouTube Debates. If your video is selected, it will be aired at the event and discussed by the panel.
WHAT:The eighth Luna Philosophie will feature Patrick Hogan, Project Manager and Randy Kim, UI, Data and Graphics Lead for NASA World Wind, an open source 3D interactive world viewer. Together, they will be discussing "Open Source at NASA: 3D Visualization with NASA World Wind".
WHAT:The seventh Luna Philosophie will have Vytas Sunspiral, of NASA Ames Research Center, at Yahoo Brickhouse in San Francisco. He will be discussing "Control Schemes for Complex Coordinated Human Motion."
WHAT:The sixth Luna Philosophie will have Tom Cochrane, of NASA Ames Research Center, at Yahoo Brickhouse in San Francisco. He will be discussing Virtual Reality System Engineering Environments for the Space Program.
